Did you know?

 

So here's a little bit about me.  I am assuming if you read this you know me.  But maybe you don't.  So here are the 10 things that some don't know about me...In no particular order...lol

1.)  I am an Air Force Brat.  Which means that I moved around when I was younger not alot but I did get to travel a lot.  My dad was stationed at Pease Air Force Base when I was born.  We moved to Omaha Nebraska shortly after.  And then three years later we moved to Germany for 6 years.  My dad retired in 1991 and we moved back home.  

2.) I am a die hard Red Sox fan (although I don't know much about this years team.)  Both Bryan and I are so much a fan that we got married on First Base from a Tampa Bay (thanks Bryan for the correction...lol) Game and we had our engagement pictures taken at Fenway Park.  Bryan didn't want to do engagement pictures until I told him where they were.  Bryan and I used to have weekend season tickets but ya know kids, cost, etc.  I took my cousin, Jackie Marie to her first game at Fenway.  Its rained almost every time she has gone (including this past weekend!)  

3.) I am a huge NKOTB fan!  My favorite is Joey.  I have been to every concert since they reunited.  My favorite song is Remix.  I would love to meet them one day.  

4.) I have been a Director of a Senior Center for almost 20 years (I've only worked for two towns)!!!  I got into it because at my job as a Case Manager for Adults with Dual Diagnosis I had a resident pass away.  I was traumatized, so I decided that getting a job as a Senior Center Director would be a great idea...lol!  

5.) I am accident prone.  When I was younger I tripped on air and fell flat on my face.  I broke my glasses but managed not to have a scratch on the lenses.  I haven't gotten anymore graceful as I have gotten older.  In fact I broke my foot two weeks before my wedding and wore a bedazzled boot down the aisle.  

6.) Trashy tv is the best invention ever!  Vanderpump Rules, Teen Mom, Below Deck.  I am not a huge fan of the The Bachelor or those types.  I think because I got tired of them when they first came on.  I can comfortably say I have also watched every episode of The Golden Girls and their spinoff.  

7.) I didn't have a ton of friends in high school or even college.  I have my close friends that I would do anything for.  When it comes to asking for help or a shoulder to cry on I know who I can comfortably call and not feel judged.  I am always willing to help out my circle of friends no matter how long it has been.  

8.) I am super insecure about almost everything in my life.  I care far too much about what people think of me.  My husband not so much.  He lets it all roll off.  I hope my kids get that from him.  

9.) I don't think either of my boys look like me.  I can see more of my side in Baelor then I do in Trent.  Trent is a spitting image of Bryan.  The only thing he got from me is his attitude when he is upset or frustrated.  Baelors attitude is all me.  From the moment he gets out of bed and can't find his outfit, or hasn't eaten.  He acts exactly like me.  (Sorry kid).  

10.) I don't always pick up on things quickly.  In fact most jokes go over my head.  I just learned that the number on the toaster is for how many mins.  I thought it was for the amount of toastiness you wanted.  I once told a story about an accident I saw where someone drove into the concrete barriers.  The person I was talking to said o you mean the Jersey barriers.  I replied no I was in Massachusetts.   

This wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be.  But now that I am done with 10 I can think of several more.  My desk looks like a hot mess, my purse does too but I know where everything is.  I strive to be organized one day.  I hope one day I can get as organized and my act together as my sisters.  I have an addiction to cups (Particularly travel mugs and water bottles).  I think I should have been a detective or maybe I was in my last life.  Academically I wasn't very good in high school and even college I struggled.  My first masters I graduated with a 3.8 GPA.  My second I have a 4.0.  If only I had applied myself more.  I am obsessed with pink drinks from Starbucks.  It used to be Iced Tea and Lemonaide until I started on the Tagrisso and everything changed.  I can tell you all the Targets around me and the best ones.  Now I am def. done.  Nope one more addition.  My favorite color has always been Orange!  When i was younger I wanted to be an orange van.  I still love orange but I have learned that it is not always flattering on me (thanks Andrea for the reminder).
