Gremlin

 

I had my pet scan on Thursday. Its taken me a couple of days to process everything. Overall my results were good. 🎉🥳 my lymph nodes that lit’s up in December have calmed down and aren’t nearly as angry. Seems like it was the infection that I was fighting. 

Previously there was some concern about my gremlin (I’m going to start calling my lung spot this).  Why because gremlins are known to make things breakdown. And currently they are making my lung break down.   The concern continued onto this scan bc the gremlin got bigger. Not a ton but enough to raise concern. I had previously met with the radiation oncologist so this will def be happening. 

My big concern is what if my brain mri comes back with something. But if it does I have some options. My doctors met on Thursday night to figure out the next steps. They talked about the what ifs. Including my big concern-what if I have another spot pop up on my brain or in my spinal fluid. But Dr Piper assured me they had a back up plan. 

So until I go for my brain mri things are staying the same. After my brain mri I’ll be starting radiation. The doctor said I’ll be tired and there are some risks (radiation pneumonia-this one sounds like a blast…lol). I’ll freeze some meals and be kind to my body over the week to week and a half I have it done.  I am hopeful that this will take care of the lung gremlin! 

On another note we took the kids to spend the night in a hotel.  Trent had a tournament this weekend. Trent was exhausted.  I could fall asleep at the drop of a dime. a good distraction to the news of this week.
