Radiation

 

Yesterday I had my appointment for mapping. It was definitely a whirlwind. I had my list of questions. And they were answered. 

For those of you wondering you can’t get a speciality tattoo for mapping but they did enjoy me asking. Told me I wouldn’t want their art work.  They made me a custom “pillow” for lack of a better term it’s not very comfortable.  It takes 5-7 business days for them to get everything in order for radiation. You have to do a practice run before the real one.  I had to practice holding my breath for 17 seconds. They don’t give you your schedule until you go in for your trial run. Just in case anything happens. The planner in me is mildly freaking out knowing I have five appointments coming up and don’t know the times. I do know it will be every other day. As of right now I go back on the 13th for my trial run. And unofficially I know I start on a Tuesday. 

I asked for my brain mri sooner (one of my gremlins on my brain might have grown could have been the angle could be the same.) they want to rescan a month sooner. I asked before the end of June partially bc I have already reached my max out of pocket so let’s get the scan in now.
