Updates

 

so randomness…I thought my next post would have been about a bucket list. We all talk about it we all have something we want to do. I’ll think some more about that one and that will be the next one. 

1.  I like instant gratification. I start a diet and want to see results the next day. Today I was told I might not see results of the radiation for 6 months!!!!  That is not satisfying at all!  

2.  Heartburn is no joke. They warned me there could be some heartburn going on. I thought a few tums and I’d be good to go.  Boy was I wrong. I’m legit scared to eat anything for fear I’ll have more heartburn!  Last night I slept sleeping up. 

3. When you have a history of mets to the brain and have had a headache for a couple of weeks the doctors don’t mess around. It’s a headache I take it in strides. But my brain scan has been moved up 3 weeks. 

4. I’ve always been a napper. I used to come home from kindergarten and put myself down for an afternoon nap. I’m a firm believer that we should adopt nap times in the middle of the day. 

5.  I’m a mixed bag of emotions this weekend. For one we weren’t able to go down for my nephews graduation because of my radiation schedule. My oldest nephew is graduating high school.  It doesn’t seem possible at all!  But he is going to college up this way so there will be theater productions and dinners and track meets if that’s what he decides to do!  I’m excited to watch him go through the next chapter and even more excited that he will be a hour from us. Baseball is ending for the season. I have spent every weekend with these families for almost the past year. My son has grown in confidence and met friends that share his love of baseball. I don’t know what the future holds for us or what we are doing next year but it’s always hard to say see you later.
