We aren’t huge basketball fans here, we follow them but don’t sit down for games. Today I heard the Celtics signed a new player. I couldn’t wait to tell Baelor. Baelor (more than Trent) complains he doesn’t know anyone with his name. Trent has met a couple of kids and knows he is named after Trent Reznor.
So when I told Baelor he got all excited. His eyes lite up and he was so excited. When I told him his birthday he got even more excited. (It’s the same month but 11 days apart).
Talking with Baelor tonight he wants to play basketball like the new player. I reached out to the Celtics and on Baylor‘s instagram page.
Honestly this little piece of information brought a lot of joy to Baelor. He has been struggling lately with my health and has been attached at my hip. He is constantly telling me hes sorry I don’t feel good and that he worries about me when I don’t feel good. He will probably never meet Baylor, but knowing there is someone else out there with his name makes him excited and happy and I’ll take that! He even said that maybe he will play basketball like Baylor and could he play for the Celtics too? Of course buddy you can do anything you put your mind too!
