Today my baby graduated kindergarten. there are so many emotions around this. I’m excited for him to go to first grade, I’m proud of everything he has overcome this year. It hasn’t been easy with friends, but he has learned how to stand up for himself. He has learned to walk away when someone is hurting his feelings.
It hasn’t been easy at home but he has learned to control his emotions and use his voice. He doesn’t want to talk about mommy being sick but he talks about it in his own way. The other day he asked if I had ever been to one of Trent’s graduations. I said kind of his was on zoom. He asked if I would ever get a chance to see him graduate. I told him I really hoped that I did and I was going to try my hardest too.
This afternoon my yard was filled with laughs and ball games. Everyone was getting along and having fun. These are the things I’ve always wanted for my kids. Neighborhood kids stopping by to play ball. Going on bike rides. Bring on the summer months.
