Baelor B

I can not believe that 7 years ago I was on bed rest waiting for my Appointment in the morning. Throughout the night you made it clear you would be here early regardless if I stayed in bed or not.

You made quite the entrance (the midwife wasn’t even ready for you!  ). But the nurses were there while the midwife got her gloves on!   We knew from the moment you made your appreance how special you would be!

You are my rule follower and sometimes (ok most times) get offended when others don’t follow the rules.  Your teachers always say how polite and quiet you are…in fact last year I asked Mrs J if we were talking about my Baelor (you don't stop talking at home- I’m pretty sure in your short 7 years you have said mommy 7 billion times!) You can be super bossy but it’s only because you like things the way you like them.  You let your opinion be known when you are at home.

You have grown up giving mommy and daddy a run for our money.   You question everything (sometimes in a good way others you could drive me bonkers.). I love your quest for knowledge.  And your love for trying something new.  I know that if I ever need a hug you will be the first one to give it to me.  I have also learned I can never say I like something because you are so unselfish you want to use your own money to get it for me.

You give me the best back rubs when you want too and the biggest hugs when I say goodnight!

You have taken the past two years in stride. You hold your emotions until you are in your safe space. Sometimes your sadness comes out in comedy (the time I told you I’d always be here for you and you looked at me and pointed down and told me not when Im there).

There are not enough words to tell you how incredibly proud daddy and I are of you.  Or how much we love you!

I hope as you enter your 7th year on this crazy planet you remember a couple of things.  Life will give you ups and downs. It’s okay to fall down but you need to get back up.  You are a great friend to everyone that needs it (don’t listen to what others say!). You do not need to be perfect at everything you do-you just need to try your best!  Remember we all have our way of doing things. There isn’t always a right or wrong and not everybody is going to follow the rules.

As you find your place this year remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think, more loved than you know!  We love you always and forever Baelor B!!!
