Thursday was my birthday. I don’t feel any different or any older. Maybe a little sadder thinking or wondering how many more I’ll be celebrating. Defaintly happier because I made it to my second birthday since being diagnosed. A little frustrated after meeting with my doctors yesterday. I’m back on antibiotics for possible pneumonia, and the radiation did its job but didn’t do its job. My spot isnt growing but it didn’t shrink as much as I would have liked. So there’s that.
I cannot thank everyone enough that reached out via text or Facebook to wish me a happy birthday! I celebrated with my mom and Paul and the boys for birthday dinner and cake. Bryan for my gorgeous flowers…a huge thank you to my coworkers for the cake and gift card! It’s much appreciated. Bryan and I spent Friday afternoon together just hanging out until the kids got home. Last night we went to see zoo lights with my best friend. Despite the rain we still had a blast.
Saturday I met with another lung cancer fighter/survivor. She posted a yard sale and I spied (with my little eye) a pair of roller skates. 🛼 I made Bryan and the boys go with me after recycling. when we got home Bryan helped Baelor on his bike and I roller skated around the driveway. I’m still in one piece. And can’t wait for the rain to stop to get back on them.
Thursday night we were able to see the Northern Lights. Something I never thought I would be able to see unless I traveled. I only have to travel to my backyard and they were amazing!!!!
This week starts open enrollment. My calendar at work is quickly filling up. With more calls coming in today. It’s going to be a long month and a half.
Heres a few pictures from Sunday night. Just in case you didn’t seem them on Facebook.
And there is still time to donate to my walk. I am so close to making my goal! Every little bit helps!!!!
