Its been a couple of weeks since I updated. I am excited to say that I am feeling like my old self again! Well, minus the legs and the headache. But I am getting used to my legs and hopefully after another couple of rounds of chemo they will be back to their normal self.
Last week was school vacation week. And I can't believe that it is already Wednesday afternoon which means its pretty much Thursday and after Thursday comes Friday so really its almost the weekend. Lol.
The kids had a blast over school vacation. They didn't do alot but it was nice to slow things down. We did go up to Maine for an overnight and they loved it. Thank you Paul for letting stay at your house! It was gorgeous-and Baelor can't wait to go back.
We are now into full on sports mode. Lacrosse a couple of days a week, Baseball the other days of the weeks. Hopefully we don't overlap too much. But we divide and conquer when we do. Both boys are loving being back into sports.
I had my phone call for my port placement today. I am still a little nervous, but it should be okay. I am assuming that I won't be able to use it next week (he said it takes about a week to heal). But I should be good to go after that.
Next week I start a new treatment. They are adding onto my chemo. There is a high risk of allergies to it so they start it off over two days. In hopes that it makes things a little better. So Tuesday I have a marathon day at the doctors, with chemo (carboplatin & pemetrexed) and my immunotherapy (Amivantab). Eventually I will drop one of the chemo meds and just be on the ami and something else. Honestly, I try and follow it but it makes me head spin. Don't worry its all written down at home, so I do know what I am taking. Which reminds me I need to update my file of life.
Not much to write about. But I know it had been a while since I had posted an update. So I thought I would give it a go.
Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks. Loving life with my boys.
