Baseball

So my last post was about my best friend from childhood.  This one will be about another incredible event in the past two weeks.

The Saturday addy was here I got a text from a friend saying she had something to drop off and was I home.  We weren’t but made a plan for her and another friend to come over the following day.

I was a little perplexed because this friend has dropped off numerous goodie bags for our family When we weren’t home.   But me being me didn’t think much of it.

Sunday morning my mom and Addy came over and we sat outside to talk.  Katie and Alex made a plan to come over around 11:00.  11:00 am Katie, Alex and a car full of kids pulled in the driveway. With a big basket of goodies for our family.  The softball/baseball league rallied together and everyone donated.  The basket had gift cards to numerous establishments for family activities, cash and goodies for the boys.  Too say Bryan and I were overwhelmed was an understatement.  The generosity from everyone in the community has been incredible and we can’t thank you enough.  A huge thank you to Katie and Alex for putting it all together. Thank you to the league parents-across all ages-most of you don’t know me but you still donated and rallied behind myself and my family!

Baseball has become a huge part of our life.  There is nothing like spring and summer nights at the field cheering on the kids.  My priority has been to make every game that I can. I want my boys to know that I am there for them and watching them on the field. I hope they know that I will always be their biggest cheerleader on and off the field.  I wish that I could have helped coach my boys more.  That year of coaching I learned so much and made so many friends.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
